Wholehog III Release
Notes for V1.3
5) User Preferences
Preference Import / Export
The Preferences window has two buttons
at the bottom; Import and Export. Export allows you to save your
preferences
to
a file. Import allows you to load a previously exported set of
preferences into the current show.
Default / Auto-naming
The Preferences window has a 'Default Naming'
pane where default names can be specified for use when
creating or copying palettes, groups
and cues. There
is a drop-down list of preset choices, or custom text can be entered.
Special tags can be used in names; tags are preceeded by an ampersand.
Lowercase tags are resolved only once - when the name is applied
(i.e. when the item is created or copied). Uppercase
tags are resolved when the name is displayed,so if a cue
is called 'Cue &N' and you
renumber it from 1.2 to 1.3, its displayed name will automatically change from
'Cue 1.2' to 'Cue 1.3'.
The available tags are:
&d - Directory name
&D - directory name (dynamic)
&n - Directory number
&N - Directory number (dynamic)
&o - Original text (only makes sense in the copy default naming,
it is only resolved in the directory item copy tasks)
AutoLoad
The AutoLoad pane of the Control Panel provides a way of specifying
a show to load when the console is powered up,
along
with
a time delay to wait before launching this show.
If the delay is greater than zero then upon startup a window
will display a countdown and the name of the show about to
be loaded. The 'Load Now' button ignores the remaining delay, while
'Cancel' stops the AutoLoad and displays the Connect window to
allow a different show to be created or loaded.
On the Rackmount Control Unit, when loading a show, AutoLoad
is automatically configured to load that show with a delay of 5
seconds the next time the RCU is started up.
Autoexec trigger macro
A trigger macro to run at startup can be specified
in Setup > 'Preferences' > 'Playback
Defaults' > 'Misc'.
