WYG Integration for the Wholehog III
Installation

Obtain the current Wysiwyg Driver Installation package from Flying Pig Systems. If you download the Wholehog III software as an ISO image and burn it to a CD, this disc will contain the current installer.
- Insert the CD into your PC
- The installer should start automatically. If it does not, go to Start > Run and type <cd-drive>:/setup.exe, where cd-drive is the driver letter of your CD
You do not need to do this every time you download a Wholehog III software update. Once the driver is installed on your PC, you will only need to reinstall it if you get a message telling you the loader version is old.
Connecting Wysiwyg to your Wholehog III

When you launch Wysiwyg with the Wholehog III driver installed, a dialog will open in the bottom right of your screen.
This dialog shows the status of the driver in the same way that the DP2000s
report their status. The dialog will remain on top of all Windows
applications. If you close the dialog, you can reopen it by double-clicking
on the Wholehog III icon
in the system tray on the Windows Taskbar.

From this dialog, you can change the network number and Wholehog III network port of the driver. The port must match that of your Wholehog III network for Wysiwyg to connect. To update these values, change them and press Apply.

Wysiwyg will look for a Wholehog III system on your network and will automatically connect to it.

Once the driver has loaded the show data, the icon in the system
tray will change to
to show that it is waiting for Wysiwyg to connect to it. To connect
Wysiwyg to your show, you need to tell it about all of the DP2000s
used in your show.
- In Wysiwyg Live Mode, go to the Device Manager (Live > Device Manager).
- Add a Wholehog III DP device (consult Wysiwyg documentation for help adding devices).
- Press Properties and in the Address box, enter the network number of one of your DP2000s.
- Bind the ports to the universes in your Wysiwyg show (consult Wysiwyg documentation for help binding ports).
- Press OK and then Connect.
Repeat steps 2 to 5 for each DP2000 in your show, setting the network numbers of the DP2000s accordingly in the Properties.
Once Wysiwyg has connected to your show, the icon in the system tray will
change to .
Autofocus

Wysiwyg can send information back to your Wholehog III to allow lights to be automatically positioned to point to a particular location on stage, rather than individually positioning the fixtures using the consoles controls (consult Wysiwyg documentation for help on using Autofocus).

Selecting and deselecting fixtures in Wysiwyg will do the same on your console. You can also use the functions in Wysiwyg to set the intensity, iris, pan, tilt and CMY colour mixing values in the active editor on the console.

Note: to use Autofocus, your show must have been created with a fixture library version 2.5.0 or greater. The library version is shown after the show description in the Show Manager (Setup > Shows > File Browser).
